Theo đó, vào cuối năm học, hiệu trưởng khuyến mãi danh hiệu học viên xuất sắc hoặc học viên tiêu biểu ngừng tốt trong học tập với rèn luyện cho những học viên thực sự xứng đáng, được bè lũ lớp công nhận. Theo ông Thái Văn Tài, vụ trưởng Vụ Giáo dục tiểu học (Bộ GD-ĐT), cũng cho biết một trong những điểm mới của thông tư 27 so với các thông tư đánh giá học sinh tiểu học trước đây là quy định rõ hơn về việc khen thưởng học sinh. Như vậy, thay vì quy định 4 mức độ của đề kiểm tra như hiện hành tại Khoản 4 Điều 1 Thông tư 22/2016/TT-BGDĐT ngày 22/09/2016 thì quy định mới chỉ còn 03 mức độ.
